How to start vnc with different change resolution

Hi,
My local screen resolution is 1024 x 768. When I start vncserver, it defaults 
to that resolution (unless I change the default screen resolution using 
Xconfigurator).
How can I start vncserver to use different screen resolution ? that is, I 
want display X1 to be 800 x 600 for example.

I am using RedHat 7.2
