IN addition to all the other responses indicating that you cannot get to a 
192.168 address from a dial up connection (because that is a private LAN 
address and not routable over the public Internet), you  may want to look at 
the following link if you are using a LINKSYS or SMC   cable/dsl router and 
getting assigned a different IP address....

and look at the     IPmailer utility that is supposed to automatically send 
you an e-mail whenever your IP address is changed, so that you can use it to 
connect  to computers behind your router.

 I use Dialup Networking to connect with the remote modem. When connection
 established, I use the IP address, 192.168.0.1:0. Anyway, I tried to ping
 that host, but no response. I don't see where I've got something wrong.
