Yep, even did the winver to confirm. And it is the same
that was used on the other nt servers SP6a off of the TechNet Disk.

Access denied to what? Are you *sure* you're running SP6a and not SP6?
Bear in mind that immediately after releasing SP6a, the link on Microsoft's
site was still actually to SP6.
