Viewer not working - maybe switch to 2000

In my case, it is connecting FROM the Win2K box. The box was a fresh
install, and connecting to an NT server running r7 (Which I was always able
to connect to) generates an error. The viewer appears to have "hung", but if
I'm patient and wait long enough (Usually about a minute or so), it comes
back with an error "Cannot connect to server".
Eww, that's so icky and slashdotty and... linuxy.

I'm running WinVNC (both server and viewer) on multiple Win2K systems
without any problems.
Did you upgrade from NT4 -> Win2K or did you do a fresh install? All my
Win2K systems have been fresh builds. If you did an upgrade, try removing
and reinstalling the service.
Check for current video card drivers for your system. I've heard rumors
that Win2K's standard VGA/SuperVGA driver doesn't like WinVNC, but I don't
have a web link to substantiate this claim.
Are you running any firewall software, like Zone Alarm? If so,
disable/uninstall it temporarily and try again. Did you set up some TCP/IP
port filtering on your system? If so, temporarily remove those entries and
try again.
I guess we also need more information. On the Win2K system, is it the
server piece that's broken or the viewer piece? Are you trying to connect
TO or FROM the Win2K system?
Hope this helps you on your way to solving your dilemma....

I'm experiencing the same problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I recently switched a NT4 workstation to Win 2000 Pro and the VNC Viewer
stopped working. I can connected using the browser version but when I
launch the stand alone I get the connection details window, enter my
address, and click OK but it never responds. I have to go into task manager
and kill the process. I'm using Ver 3.3.3r7
