try nmap or nmapNT and scan for whatever ports you've set VNC to run on
(default on windows is 5900, I think default on unix is 590x depending on
display).  Legal issues are another matter, however - make sure you have
permission to scan.

I have VNC installed on many machines on our local network and I was
wanting to find a utility that would scan my network to tell my which
machine where up and running with vnc for easier administration. Can
