The Red Hat Linux VNC RPM sets the font path to unix/:7100 so that it
gets its fonts from the local font server (xfs).  I guess you aren't
running one, or else it's listening on a different port.

Just comment out the '$cmd .= " -fp unix/:7100";' in
/usr/bin/vncserver.
