It's not impossible. Just pressing CTL-ALT-DEL does not work,it sends the
signal to the local machine, try to right click on the title bar with the
mouse or use SHIFT-CTL-ALT-DEL.

I think it is impossible to 'send' ctrl-alt-del to a Windows 2000 machine.
It is classed as a hardware event for security. (stops script being able to
compromise security)

I tried it here and get the same thing.

Scenario:
I a running WinVNC 3.3.3 R2 on a Windows 2000 machine. The machine is set in
standby mode, configured for Wakeup on LAN. When i'm running the VNC viewer
to connect to the PC from home, the connection can be established.

But when sending ctrl-alt-del to get the logon screen, nothing happens. When
moving the mouse, several mouse cursors are displayed on the screen.

Question:
What is happening here? Why can i not get control and work with the PC? Any
answers are welcome.
