WinVNC server does not die on W98 shutdown

I am running WinVNC on W98 as a W98-service. When I shutdown
the system (locally at the machine) the WinVNC hangs - obviously
not recognizing the systems shutdown request.
Did anyone else see this problem? Is there a workaround to have
WinVNC shutdown without an user-interaction?
