8 bpp color in Xvnc

I did run it with -cc 3 (found it in the FAQ yesterday) but it didn't do a thing
(everything looks exactly the same). I'm thinking about looking into that color
map translation function. The colors are totally wrong. What looks like orange in
MS Windows looks brown in Xvnc.
