Listening tcp ports of vnc

Hello:
I have just joined this list but I haven't found an answer for this
question in the recent history of this list. I Apologize if it was
asked before.
In the documentation of vnc (faq,..) I've read that the server is
listening in the tcp ports 58xx and 59xx. Nevertheless, the different
servers I have started, appear to be listening also in tcp ports 60xx,
what is not documented:
netstat -at:
...............
tcp 0 0 *:5801 *:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:5901 *:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:6001 *:* LISTEN
...............
tcp 0 0 *:5802 *:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:5902 *:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:6002 *:* LISTEN
...............
I run several vncservers behind a firewall and I don't like the idea of
having my servers listening in ports that I don't know exactly what kind
of conections are they waiting for.
Can anybody tell me something about this?
(I run vnc-3.3.3-2 for linux and windows)
Thanks.
