Someone needs to explain to the people who _do_ have control that they
will be _much_ safer giving you what you need in a proper manageable
fashion than making you find a way around them.

They're not getting paid you make you side-step their security, are
they?

Yes, I know; "the real world".

Horseshit.  If the work needs to be done, it needs to be done.  If the
"real world" won't let you do it, the real world is broken.  Fix it.
