Compiling VNC for AIX 4.1.x

Hi,

I'm trying to build VNC for AIX 4.1, and I've run into an interesting
problem.  The viewer doesn't accept keyboard input!

* If I run "vncviewer" from an AIX machine, the focus on the "password
window" never grabs hold, and any keyboard input gets directed to the xterm
that I called vncviewer from.

* If I run "vncviewer DISPLAY" the password gets inputted from the xterm,
and then no keyboard input is accepted when the X session connection is
established.

Anyone have any suggestions on this one?  The FAQ, Chuck's web page, and
the forums don't seem to talk about this, which mean that I've likely
missed something configuration-wise when preparing to compile this thing.
