Xfree4 and VNC

XFree86 v3.3 is the current, widely-used version of the X server, which is
getting a little long in the tooth. XFree 4 is the new version, very
recent and it seems much improved.

As a side note, I recently tried to compile Xvnc on my PowerMac 8100 under
mkLinux DR3 (kernel 2.0.33 modified to run on Mach 3, along with pre-v1.0
versions of glibc and probably some other crucial stuff). Compilation
failed for BOTH the vncviewer and the Xvnc make trees. I can't remember
what the error messages were but I think they involved missing stuff in
header files.

Does Xvnc / vncviewer work under LinuxPPC? It should do, as it's a native
(and recent) PowerPC Linux kernel, rather than an ancient,
ported-for-compatibility-with-weird-hardware-reasons version, along with
up-to-date glibc et al... Any ideas on why it doesn't with mkLinux, and
is there anything useful I could do to remedy this (such as installing a
new glibc, for starters)?
