Just two curious questions:
1) How hard would it be to recompile VNC using the Xfree4 code instead of
3.3.X? Has anyone tried?
2) Would it be possible to make VNC a module that could be added like a
graphics driver?
The reason I ask is because I have been running Xfree4 for about a week and
I am very pleased with it. It runs twice as fast with half the memory usage
of 3.3.6. The only downside of 4.0 is that it takes about 55 minutes to
compile on a dual 550mhz machine. That is why I asked about the module
option. If VNC could somehow be made into a module, then it should only
need its own custom startup script. Of course, there could be technical
reasons not to do this, but this is why I asked.
