Ahhh. For that you need the version of Xvnc which still has the
hardware-specific code in it (the standard version had been stripped of
such code). I can't remember who provided one of these, but I'm sure he'll
pop his head up. In the meantime, you could run a hardware X server
running only vncviewer, as I suggested.
