unrecognized option 1024x768 ???

Hi, I am trying to get my vnc-server running under solaris2.5

Installation worked fine, I get the vncserver-script to run, but then xvnc
doesn't seem to start.

Upon inspection of the log file I get this:

Unrecognized option: 1024x768
use: X [:<display>] [option]

...
... <...and rest of options, including an option: -geometry WxH !!!>

And then, of course, because xvnc obviously didn't start up:

xterm Xt error: Can't open display: rif30:2
twm:  unable to open display "rif30:2" 
---

So what is wrong? I really don't have any Idea, changing resolutions
doesn't bring up any other results (why should it?)... sooo?

Well, I don't know, but maybe this helps anyone telling me what I should
do, here are the outputs I get when I start the vncserver-script:

---
xauth:  creating new authority file add
xauth: (argv):1:  unknown command "rif30:2"
xauth:  creating new authority file add
xauth: (argv):1:  unknown command "rif30/unix:2"

New 'X' desktop is rif30:2

Starting applications specified in /home/kgunten/.vnc/xstartup
