If we're going to talk about splitting the list, I think we also need to
have an announce-only list (i.e. for announcing new versions or specially
hacked versons). I delete 99% of the messages in the mailing list these
days just because I pretty much know what I can and can't do with VNC
and deal with it without making any noise on the mailing list.

But that's just me.
