This (a development v. install/usage) split is really the only one I
can support.  I've been on a _lot_ of mailing lists, over the years,
and I've found that splits only work when they're for volume reasons,
rather than content -- that is, you have to "make up" walls to cut the
traffic down; they're not apparent, as they are in this case.

One suggestion I might make is keywords.  If the list server could be
programmed to enforce them, this might work well.

WIN, UNIX, MAC, DEV, and the like: if the server doesn't see at least
one keyword, in all caps, in a subject line, it bounces the message
with an explanation.  That way, those who care can program filters to
deal with the problem, and those who want everything don't have to
manage 6 lists.

YES, I know, getting in the habit will be a pain in the ass... but
only to the posters, not to the readers.  And you _will_ form the
habit rather quickly, trust me.
