On a Win PC you could install ZoneAlarm which will show an increased
(permanent) tcp-ip activity when someone is 'eavesdropping' your pc...
should work against most any program/trojan I know of (just as long as it
uses tcp-ip)
BTW : ZoneAlarm is free too (no source though :),have a look at
http://www.zonelabs.com
