I apologize for my sarcastic comment but in my opinion VNC is tab too much
for the problem, at one point we faced a similar situation and decided to go
with a Proxy server and it has worked for us very well
I assume you meant that as a sarcastic remark.
While I agree that what we use VNC for is a bit 'Big Brotherish', it does
suit its purposes. You have to remember that many of the people being
monitored are 8 dollar an hour clerks that are in a union and don't want to
do anything beyond the bare minimum. We only use VNC when it becomes
apparent that we have someone abusing their access to the internet or
e-mail. These people's jobs are to be on the phone NOT playing on the
internet.
If you don't like it, don't apply for a job here! (-:
