Alternatively, or additionnaly, the DHCP server can be instructed to
always assign the same IP address to some computers (recognized by
computername or MAC address) -- it's quite preferrable to have a fixed
IP addy at least for servers and main computers.

This easy step would at least allow to be able to always directly
connect to those computers by IP address (or .VNC file). Adding WINS/DNS
sync is more tricky to set up, whilst it's practical too.
