xrdb issues? How do I know where it is.

I have already checked the FAQ and previous posts.
In my log I get
xrdb: No such file or directory
xrdb: can't open file '/root/.Xresources'

However, It still works, to some degree. I cannot get the vncserver to
use my current X view and settings. It defualts to kfm all the time.
And when doing a webview with kfm I dont get any mouse click
functionality within the view.
HOW DO I DO A SEARCH FOR XRDB so that I can make sure the path is
correct in the startup file within .vnc
