Lockup? Freeze up?

well i am not sure exactly, the most common one (happend twice in the
program) was winamp, i have a plugin for winamp so i can stream audio to my
work, and i was closing it, and the last thing i was able to see was the
mouse on the X and the words Close coming off the screen (u know like the
help for people who dont know what the X is) and then it just locked up VNC
and i couldnt do anything so i just disconnected.
