Hi,

We had a similar problem, we also use VNC with a large group of office users
but experienced the problem whereas some users would change their passwords
without us knowing. The way that we solved this was to write to the Password
registry key via a Network Login Script. We have since also disabled the
properties control panel to prevent password changes.

Subject: Updating VNC Password on Win 9x

I have a large group of users working at other locations that we've
installed VNC to run as a service (this allows us to troubleshoot those
pesky login problems), with an assigned password. These users either
dial into our network, or are connected to a local network that is part
of our WAN. All users connect to our network and log into our Samba
servers.

My question is, is there a way to change these user's VNC password
without having to access each one manually?

Thanks,

Ken McCord
