I got it basically working on HPUX 10.20 a few weeks ago but have not been able
to get any sessions past the first. I have already asked about the problem on
this list but have not had any responses yet. Here's the problem I am having
from my previous post:
The short question:
I have compiled vnc 3.3.3r1 w/the ixvnc3a patch on HPUX 10.20 & have been able
to connect with a single client. When I try to connect a second client I get the
following error messages (from /var/adm/X99msgs):
_XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running
Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already
running
Being ignorant on most of the subjects involved in setting this up (this was my
first compile of anything on HPUX ever) I am at a loss for why I can't get a
second session hooked up. It doesn't seem to be finding the next available
display. I have been reading all I can find but have not been able to get more
than 1 client to work. Is there anyone out there that is running iXvnc on HPUX?
Any insight at all would be helpfull.
The details:
/etc/services:
vnc 5950/tcp

Subject: Inetd on the HP
Has anyone out there attempted to use the inetd patch in conjuntion with the
HP patches and get it to work on the HP using inetd to start a connection?
I am just wondering how hard it will be, and if it is worth my time.
Chris
