vncviewer black out

Hi.  Newbie here.

Running vncserver v.3.3.3r1 for Linux 2.0 on Linux 6.2.

Running vncviewer v.3.3.3r7 for Win32 on Win98.

Vncviewer's screen goes irretrievably black after as little as a few
minutes, especially if the screensaver on the vncviewer's PC kicks in.

If i close and re-open vncviewer, everything on screen is as i left it.

Suggestions?

pls also reply to gherson "at" snet.net.

P.S.  Pressing my delete key in the vncviewer has no effect.  (Delete key
works fine when i work directly on the server.)  Why?
