Puzzling VNC client problem

I've no such trouble with 3.3.3R2 on NT4. Not sure if that's your
problem, but after you reboot your NT, VNC will use the password from
"Default settings" instead of the one from "User settings" if:

1-The NT doesn't autologin after reboot
  (i.e., NT remains on login screen)
2-Or if Service Helper hasn't been autorun
  (i.e., NT is logged but there's no VNC tray-icon visible)

Try setting password "one" in Default Settings, password "two" in User
Settings, reboot NT as in your trouble scenario and then retry to
connect using both passwords -- if one works, you'll know from where
your trouble comes...
