A bug in WinVNC 3.3.3r7!

Yes, this is a known "feature". I tinkered with forcing the dialog to the
top of the display but that proves to be even worse, since it steals
keyboard events and can quite often result in the connection being accepted
involuntarily. I'm pretty sure the dialog should come to the top if the
user isn't typing at the time, so if it's not then perhaps I've missed a
flag off the dialog. I'll have to check that..

Cheers,

James "Wez" Weatherall

> Not a major one, but again linked to Win95 users. When I run WinVNC on a
Win95 PC, and connect to it, when the authorisation dialog box appears
asking for the host to accept the connection, the authorisation box does not
have focus. It is hidden behind whatever other windows may be up at the
time. I have tested it, and this does not occur with Win98, the window gets
the focus correctly. This would not ordinarily be a big problem, but we are
using WinVNC as a support aid to fix users problems with their PCs, and
these users may not necessarily know much about computers at all (I've had
problems describing even how to scroll down in a window for one user!). I
therefore know that if the window to authorise the connection does not have
focus and is hidden behind other windows, there will be great difficulty in
describing how to click Accept; by the time we got there, it would have
timed out! Any ideas?
