Yes.  About $2000 (per line!) to double the distance, for the needed
repeater.  Also, there will be additional latency, and your speed will be
limited by the resistance (distance) at the longest segment, with a small
hit at each repeater.

The other issue, the units have to be installed somewhere.  For the Telco,
this is no problem generally, although you don't have as much flexibility as
you might like to where you put the repeaters.  For a non-telco provider,
this means leasing more space to put the repeater, and probably additional
line charges as well.

At this point, we decided it's simply not feasible as something to recommend
to our clients.
