I'm preparing a release of VNC Server for Macintosh that should be even
more stable than b2.1 : b2.2 hooks into the DriverServices to figure out
whether it's running at interrupt time or not. However, DriverServices
only exists on the PowerSurge PowerMacs - ie. PCI PowerMacs released from
the 9500 onwards (including the 7300, iMac and all G3s). I need some
willing alpha testers with access to PowerSurge PowerMacs to test my code
before release, as I don't have access to any myself.

Also, b2.2 does not demand Open Transport v1.1.3 as before, but v1.1.1,
which can run on System versions as old as 7.5.5. This should benefit
several users who have mentioned use of old System versions recently.

I am currently implementing on a workaround to allow running on NuBus
PowerMacs (which do not have DriverServicesLib installed), which for the
present will be the old 'guesswork' behaviour with regard to interrupts. I
am also researching a way of detecting interrupts which does not require
use of DriverServices. This may, however, involve a bit of 68K emulated
code, as the PowerPC keeps the Machine Status Register in supervised mode,
unlike the 68K.
