The Mac uses a set of 16x16 tiles to track update redraws. If you are viewing a
screen that is not divisible by 16 (like 800x600) then, internally, it will be
extended (i.e. 800x608). This should be transparent to the user (i.e. it
shouldn't actually display or use the bottom 8 pixels) but it might be that
you've found a bug (this is beta software after all)

What resolution are you using?

Also, the Mac viewer cannot go fully full screen as the menu bar must always be
visible (this is not technically true, but is a discussion in itself that is
best taken elsewhere). So, to avoid bump scrolling, your maximum vertical
resolution is roughly 20 pixels less than your screen size.
