Hello,

Okay, I hope I can provide enough information for someone to help me with
my problem.

My problem is this. I have the latest version of VNC 3.3.3r2. I have a
small 4 computer network connected to a small server running winroute 3.04f.
I have the WinVNC server installed on a computer behind winroute. The
WinVNC server is setup to use display number 0.

If i use a computer that is also behind winroute i can connect to the
server just fine. The problems occurs when i try and use an outside computer
to connect to the server through the internet.

I have winroute setup to map the port 5900 to the WinVNC server IP. i have
the protocol of the map setup to be tcp.

When i use the pc viewer running on the computer not a part of my network i do
use the ip of my WinVNC server, but the viewer is not able to connect. It
does not find the server.

Now, i have tried setting up a server on the outside computer, and i can
connect to it with all of the computers behind winroute. but i can' connect
to a server running behind winroute from the internet. :P

i do not have any rules applied to winroute either.

The outside computer is a computer at my work. My winroute network is my
network at home.

Basically i just can't get a server to work behind winroute :P

I would really appreciate any help

-mark
