various mac issues

absolutely brilliant program. Still it has a few difficulties.

I'm trying to connect between a mac (clone running system 8.6) and an
HPUX workstation (10.20). The HP version 3.3.3? built just fine
according to the outstanding directions under contributed. There are
a variety of warnings along the way but these scrolled by quite fast
and did not kill the compile.

Running the server on the mac trying to connect from the HP

This seemed to work OK initially. The mouse jitters a bit but I guess
this is due to the mouse continually sending events which has been
noted. I was able to start word and powerpoint and view some items-
but on quitting powerpoint the connection froze (mouse in mac window
stopped moving). I killed the connection and tried to reconnect but
that didn't work. Much to my surprise the mac was not frozen so I
don't know what the problem was.

Running the server on the HP, trying to connect from my mac.
The HP server seemed to start fine and gave me a screen number.
Unfortunately the mac could not connect to it. It kept giving the
following error.

OTConnect fails fffff3aa kOTLookErr - An event occurred - call Look().

(Searching the mailing lists by the way never seems to return
anything even if I search for vncviewer so I'm sorry if this question
has been answered before.)

thanks,
