Problems viewing the desktop on linux box

	i have been looking around for a while of a way to remotely 
administer to my linux box that acts as a gateway to the cable 
modem... and someone told me that VNC was a good program to do it 
with. I have v 3.3.3 running on the linux box (running rh 6.1) and i 
have got vncserver running without any problems. i can connect from 
my mac running 3.3.3 beta, but all i get is the 'X' screen like it is 
loading up.

	On the linux box I am logged in as root and have KDE 
running... would this have any effect on why the desktop doesnt show 
up?
