Yes, it does work using the 192.168.0.3:5922 ; I guess common sense was
sacrificed by staying up all night [unrelated problem]. :) I should have
known that it wouldn't see the real IP [since the router is the same
machine..though i'm still a bit fuzzy on that - i can ftp to the external
IP from the 192.168.0.* subnet].

} TCP/IP is set up, and how Open Transport works, that may or may not be
} visible to your own machine (strange or what?). Try 127.0.0.1:3333

I'm now at work, and attempted to run the VNC viewer and pointed it to
1.2.3.4:3333 and it worked! So I guess the problem was that I was trying
to access 1.2.3.4:3333 from 1.2.3.4. Since I can access 192.168.0.* from
1.2.3.4 that is all that matters [i just wanted to make sure that I could
access my semi-internal network from the outside, so i thought i'd test it
from my only 'outside' computer - 1.2.3.4].
