This is indeed an FAQ - the port number is simply the display number plus
5900 as on all VNC systems. RTFM.

There has never been a "stable" version. However the beta-2.x versions are
reasonably stable - watch for beta-2.2 when I release it later this week,
as it includes some very significant improvements to stability when used on
PCI-based PowerMacs.
