Console/DOS Client

Here is what I am trying to do.  I want to use some P133mhz  and
P200mhz machines as thin clients accessing a VNC server.  I can do this
no problem, but it seems pointless and long to boot into either linux or
Windows just to run VNC since the clients only run software on the
Server (Star Office).  I need 16bit color, and I don't see any clients
that do better than 8bit.

I would really be interested in a client that uses the new Frame Buffer
device under Linux.  Does anyone know of such a console client?  I would
also be interested in a 16bit DOS client too, although this seems less
likley.
