Problems compiling Xvnc on Solaris 7 x86

yes - you must change vnc_unixsrc/Xvnc/config/cf/site.def. 
Uncomment the lines

/*
#ifndef HasGcc2
#define HasGcc2 YES
#endif
*/

by removing "#". That should do the job.
