Thank you for this answer.

I have already built the Xvnc binary for SCO OpenServer. This binary seems
to be not 100% compatible:
   - When I invoked Xvnc -h I got the on-line help.
   - When I run Xvnc I got the following messages in the log file:
        _XSERVTransSocketCreateListener: failed to bind listener
        _XSERVTransSocketUNIXCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener()
failed
        _XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: failed to create listener for
unix
        09/08/00 09:41:16 Xvnc version 3.3.3r1
        09/08/00 09:41:16 Copyright (C) AT&T Laboratories Cambridge.

       09/08/00 09:41:16 See http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc for
information on VNC
       09/08/00 09:41:16 Desktop name 'x11' (uw7:1)
       09/08/00 09:41:16 Protocol version supported 3.3
       09/08/00 09:41:16 Listening for VNC connections on TCP port 5901

    An of course no VNC viewer can open a connection.
