I am trying to get WinVNC to work on a Win 2k box

Ok, what screen drivers are you using on that box ? have you tried changing
the default display number ?

Also, can you do a reverse effect, by doing Add Listening Client from the
Server Icon ? To do this, run a VNCviewer in listening mode, and then using
the server icon, right-click and Add Client, putting in the client's
IP/Name. Does that work ?

Mark,

Thanks for the reply, I thought that no one was ever going to reply.

In response to your inquiries:
1) I tried the default settings, they did not work. Same error.
2) I tried uninstall & reinstall, to include hand removing all registry
settings relating to VNC, that did not work. Same error.
3) The VNC service is running. And it still does not work. Same error

If I give it a password that must be entered I will get the password enter
screen using the VNC viewer on another machine, but once I hit enter I get
the same error message.

If you have any other suggestions I would be glad to hear try them, if I
haven't already.
