This is due to the way that the Java engine performs it refreshes I believe.
Unfortunately, I don't think there is that much that you can do about it,
bar constantly doing a manual refresh.

Subject: Java program (not VNC viewer) does not render properly

Hi,

I'm using JDK1.2.2 and KDE on Linux. I've tried to view a Java
application through a windows VNC viewer, but the graphics area of the
applet is garbled. This happens on all applets and Java programs. All
other programs work fine.

Does anyone have any solutions?

Thanks,
Surj
