Hello,
I have scanned through the VNC web site and the FAQ's without coming up
with any hits on the error message I am getting.
As I a newbie with this, I would be most grateful for helpful tips, book
titles and/or URL's to appropriate resources for resolving this error.
I installed the MacVNC distribution 3.3.3b2 server on a Power Macintosh
8500 (PPC 604 @ 150 mhz) and the VNC viewer is run from a Mac G4 400.
Both machines are running Mac OS 9.0.4. When I attempt a connection, I
get an error message and the following is written to the log:
Started connection number a6e9774 to <IP address> on display 0 at
12:52:16
string_exception in ProcessNextEvent : T_DISCONNECT received on
connection a6e137c
Connection a6e9774 closes at 12:52:17
I am using the default set up for the server, although I have changed
the host name and password in the Options control panel. The machine
with the VNC server installed also runs the firewall software.
TIA,
Mark Phillips
