VNC Java Viewer

I have no problem with VNC linking two linux boxes over a modem using 
vncviewer but I cannot get the java viwer to work. No matter what I try, I 
get the message File Not Found in Netscape and no further explanation. I am 
usimg the right port to view on (5800 + dispay no.).
Help much appreciated.
