W2K and connection closed message

I've been getting the "Connection Closed" messages from the W2K VNC server
ever since I upgraded from NT4 to W2K.

This was only happening on one box at home so it wasn't bad enough for me
to troubleshoot.
When it recently happened at work I took the time to read through my old
vnc-list digest messages, and found out that VNC has a problem with the
standard VGA driver under W2K.

Since this appears to be a problem that is going to affect everyone who
runs the standard vga driver under W2K:

- can someone fix this problem in the next release?
- can we add the workaround (install the factory driver for your video
card) to the FAQ?

This particular problem has nothing to do with desktop permissions, etc..

If I wouldn't have been subscribed to the list for awhile, I wouldn't have
found the tip, and thus would've had to re-post the question. I can
imagine the frequency of this particular problem increasing as people begin
upgrading their servers.

Thank you.
