(my first posting to this list has been unreplied for almost two weeks
so I'll go now to bother you again ;-)
Hi everybody,
Hopefully there is somebody out there with a little hint for this problem:
VNC runs here on a NT4.0 box as a service, with the AuthHosts
("-:+192.168:") feature activated, as far as we are here it goes w/o
problems.
So then I wanted to use some of the tweak features and have set
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\WinVNC3\LockSetting=2
(to safely logout on disconnect of the VNC clients) but no logout
happens when I close the remote viewer.
All other is on default setting as "out of the box". I am sure that I have
seen this feature working on a previous installation, but that was with
a slightly different (non-functional due to a missing "-:" prefix)
AuthHosts
setting. A Novell Client32 is installed on the box, but mostly I'm logged
in to the NT workstation only, not the NW server(s).
Here are my current registry settings:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3]
"AuthRequired"=dword:00000001
"AuthHosts"="-:+192.168:"
"AllowLoopback"=dword:00000000
"ConnectPriority"=dword:00000001
"DebugMode"=dword:00000000
"DebugLevel"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default]
"SocketConnect"=dword:00000001
"AutoPortSelect"=dword:00000001
"InputsEnabled"=dword:00000001
"Password"=hex:<censored>
"PollUnderCursor"=dword:00000000
"PollForeground"=dword:00000001
"PollFullScreen"=dword:00000000
"OnlyPollConsole"=dword:00000000
"OnlyPollOnEvent"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\WinVNC3]
"LockSetting"=dword:00000002
(I think I would preferably place the LockSetting key in the local
machine-
specific settings if this could be done).
What's the trick? What is there letting VNC ignore the LockSetting para-
meter?
Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend
