Accessing a server behind a firewall

It's just an idea but assuming your mail server runs 24/7 one thing 
that can get through to your PC from outside the firewall is an 
email. An email client that's programable could POP your mail 
sever just for the sender and subject looking say once a minute 
looking for an email from you with a particular subject line then run 
the command "winvnc -connect <HOME_IP_ADDRESS>".

I've not done this,  as I said it just an idea :-)
