How did you fix the file/directory problem? I tried the grep thing and it
shows up but cannot cd to it.

Well, I fixed the "Yes, there is Such a File or Directory" problem.
There was something with the tgz decompression. But now its all
good---no.

Call me Ultra-Newbie, but I'm not at all experienced with X.

all I get when i connect is the grap stick-work (gray) with the
Xcursor that you get breifly when X loads. It stays like this... How
do I get my actual X up?
