Do you mean you get just the vertical bar and not the horizontal ? or the
other way around? Also, what happens if you use full screen mode rather
than a maximised window ?

Subject: Problem with WinVNC Version 3.3.3R2
Hi,
My setup is PC1 with display set to 1600x1280 true color PC2 with display
set to 1280x1024 true color and WinVNC service.
If I try to run vncviewer on PC1 and connect to PC2 the vertical dimension
of the viewer is full screen. (i.e. it fills the 1280 display) The viewer
has a scroll bar for the vertical so the image is stretched. The horizontal
dimensions are OK.
Is this a known bug?
