Tristan--
Thanks very much for the patch. I recompiled and I'm using it now. It
does affect one thing: I can now always see the F8 menu. Before, under
certain conditions, the viewer used to crash as sooon as I hit F8 and
before the menu was displayed. So this is a little better.
Here is one thing that *always* causes loss of the vncviewer: Selecting
"Full screen" from the F8 menu when I am not already in full-screen mode.
The viewer pops into full-screen mode for less than one second, then it
disappears. It is still running, but I can't see it. I have to kill it
to get rid of it. This is on Solaris 2.6 under OpenWindows.
Full screen seems to work fine if I start vncviewer with the -fullscreen
option. But if I start without that option, I can never get to
full-screen monde. And even if I start with -fullscreen, then go to a
regular window mode, I cannot return to full-screen mode.
Regards,
Mike
