Mac viewer

I make occasional attempts to use the Mac viewer in the hopw that the day
will soon come when it can become my standard way of interacting with Unix
from my G3 Powerbook. But the day is not here yet and, indeed beta 2 seems
to me to be a clear step backwward, particularly in the crucial matter of
how mouse buttons are handled. It is true that the Mac comes with only one
mouse button and that a certain amount of ugliness is therefore inevitable,
but anyone who has frequent need of a 3-button mouse will surely have one
and it is clearly important that it should be useable. With the current
viewer, it is not. By far the most desirable thing is to allow the user to
choose the key that will be used in place of buttons 2 and 3---when using
other terminal emulators, I choose f11 and f12 because I am left-handed;
others might prefer f1 and f2, or something else. The crucial thing is
that it should be a single key that can be held down for the purposes of
dragging. Command-4 and -5 cannot be used in this way, at least in the
setup I have. The present Command-1, -2, and -3 scheme is unusable.
